all of you who are new subscribers as well!
The
latest edition of ProsperityUnleashed!
is a bit behind schedule due to the Memorial Day
holiday weekend. My best friend from college and
his family came down for a visit so we spent the
weekend entertaining them and showing them a few
of the many natural wonders around Fentress County,
including Pickett State Park, the East Rim Overlook
of the Big South Fork, Colditz Cove and Alvin C.
York Mill Park. Fortunately the weather cooperated!
If you're going to be "in my neck of the woods"
in Tennessee, please let me know and I'd be happy
to show you "some of the sights" as well!
I'm
sure you've seen (or at least have heard about)
several of the latest Online Marketing products
and services that have been released over the past
month. Having been online for over four years now,
I look at some of them and think to myself: "Man!
I wish that tool had been available a few years
ago!"
Although
the latest ebooks and software may truly be effective
and solve real problems, always keep in mind that
unless purchasing them is absolutely vital
to the success of your current online endeavors,
it's best to bookmark the ones that really stand
out and "stick with your present game-plan"
(and tools.) Once you've achieved that next goal
or victory, then you might consider giving that
bookmark folder with those tool links another look
as a reward for your achievement.
This
issue features another helpful and informative article
by my good friend and Master Marketer John Delavera-
this time the topic is contests. You'll also find
the first part of a new article series I'm writing
on how to tap the Real wealth of the Internet.

The Greatest Source of Online Wealth That's
Never Been Seen!
Wouldn't
it be awesome to have 'the inside scoop'
on how to get your share of the incredible wealth
that can be yours through the Internet? Everyday
more and more people are turning to the 'Net and
hundreds of "newbies" and opportunity
seekers come online each month. With this constant
influx, surely there must be a way that you can
create a profit stream from just a portion of the
online population! Of course there is - but you
have to begin by asking the right question.
Remember
the classic story "Acres of Diamonds"?
The main character searches tirelessly for ways
to "strike it rich" while all the while
he literally has "acres of diamonds"--in
their raw form--right in his own back yard! The
same analogy is true for the Internet. You too may
be seeking for ways to "strike it rich"
online; however it seems that too few people either
see or understand the vast "acres" of
online wealth that's waiting to be discovered and,
like the "Diamonds" in the story, refined.
You
will discover the wealth you seek only when
you realize the kind of wealth you're looking
for. That means you need to ask the right question:
"What kind of wealth does the Internet
offer?" Of course our e-mails try to answer
that question by telling us that the 'Net offers
"overnight riches" with little or no effort
(can you say "delete"?). There certainly
are scores of people who are making good money online-
but the main reason for their success is that they
know how to mine the Web's true wealth.
Notice
I did not say that the reason was because
"they know how to make money from the Internet."
As any number of professional marketers will tell
you, "money is not the focus; it's the by-product."
First of all you have to be able to mine the "acres
of diamonds" hidden on the Web. In case you're
still scratching head, what I'm trying to tell you
is that the incredible wealth of the Web is the
Internet itself!
Think
about it for a moment. What is the 'Net? It's the
"Information Super Highway!" Whatever
subject or item that a segment of the ever-growing
online population is searching for boils down to
one thing: information. And information
about that information is collected, categorized
and ranked by the ever-active Search Engines.
"So
what!" I can hear you say. But here's where
it gets interesting. If you have at your disposal
the means to find out exactly what a specific
segment of people are searching for, then, armed
with that information, you are in the unique
position of having the opportunity to give them
what they want!
Master
Marketer Marlon Sanders says it best, "What
they're buying, I'm selling!" First of all
ask yourself "What does this specific market/target
group want?" You can find the answer
using some of the Web's own "acres of diamonds",
Search Engine utilities like goodkeywords.com and
wordtracker.com, just to name a few. Once you've
found out what kind of specific information they've
"gotta have", go get it for them!
"Hey!
Wait a minute- I thought that's what they
were supposed to do!" That's where you and
successful online pros like Marlon Sanders and Terry
Dean differ: they realize that people are willing
to pay them if they come up with a way to collect
and package the specific information their prospective
customers (target market) seek. They make their
money the old fashioned way; they "find a need"
(discover a problem a certain target group (market)
has--one that has money and is willing to spend
it to solve that problem) and then "fill it"
(create the desired solution by using the wealth
of online information and resources to study that
market and solve their problem.) When you go out
and get exactly what your prospective customer
wants, and then let them know that you
have what they want, who do you think they're
most likely to run to?? You- because you have positioned
yourself as the "prime source" for what
they want!

How
to Promote Your Site Using Contests

One of the least
expensive ways to promote an online business is
via some sort of contest. You have the option of,
either, sponsoring your own or donating a prize
package to one or more of the thousands of contests
available online, today. (Of course, you may choose
to donate a prize to a contest held offline, as
well.) The purpose of an online contest-related
promotion, in case you haven't already guessed,
is to drive traffic to your web site.
There
are countless 'contest junkies" who search the Internet
everyday. Their goal: enter and win. If you are
offering prizes that meet their particular interest,
chances are most will enter. Naturally, the best
and most obvious prize to offer is one that is related
to your business. If this option is not possible,
you can always award contest prizes such as gift
cards or cash. (Cash prizes can easily be awarded
via PayPal or a similar Internet payment service.)
If
you are running the contest yourself, the main goal
other than promoting the actual contest, is to capture
names and email addresses by way of the entry form.
Each entrant can then be added to your mailing list,
as a potential customer. (Make sure you include
a disclaimer in your posted contest rules stating
you will be adding entrants to your newsletter,
sale announcement, etc. This is necessary to avoid
SPAM accusations.)
You
don't need a large bankroll to fund this type of
online business promotion technique. There are many
contest directory sites, on the Internet. The majority
of them allow you to post your contest information
in their directory at no cost. In most of these
cases, you are required to provide a simple text
link back to their site, on your contest page. But,
it is a very simple process.
If
you are donating a prize to a contest held by someone
other than yourself, it is still a wonderful way
promote your online business. This method is best
for those who want to generate traffic to a web
site but don't have the time to promote a contest
of their own.
You
must, however, take the time to contact web site
owners, in need of prize donations. Do a search
for web sites that attract the type of traffic you
are seeking. If you have a product of interest to
young Mothers, offer a prize donation to sites that
attract young Mothers.
Sell
something a gardener would love? Donate a prize
to a garden-related site in exchange for a link
back to your site. Many contest entrants visit these
links after filling out the initial entry form.
A percentage of these visitors will consider making
a purchase, at the time of this visit, should you
stock something they need.
