Viral Ebook Marketing Secrets Revealed - Or What ALL Ebook Writers Do WRONG!
Written by: John Delavera
I always
wanted to create *something* that would allow me
to promote my products with minimal (zero) effort - while
making profits just by letting it run in cyberspace.
I was thinking
of it like a digital satellite: once in
cyberspace, it would not stop moving, would not require
fuel, and would keep beaming profits back to me.
And I created
it...
Just study how the Best Free Ebook works...
and you'll agree with me that this is my non-stop satellite
money-machine: it needs zero effort from me to promote
itself, it never stops sending me customers and
subscribers, and it works on its own...
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=104
I am going
to tell you how I created my 'satellite' money-machine.
Feel free to use the methods I used for ANY free digital product
you create.
Yep...
You can use the marketing secrets I am telling you here for
creating your viral marketing strategy for ANY collection
you create and distribute through an ebook.
Read on.
If you follow
my marketing secrets, ALL of your readers and
ALL of the readers of your readers who downloaded your free
book will be sending traffic to your server, which means
that those people can become your subscribers and/or your
customers.
Are you ready?
Here it comes...
The story in brief:
The Best Free Ebook is a PDF file.
It includes
links to:
- 64 free ebooks anyone can download and brand
free,
- 81 affiliate programs and products you can re-sell if you
have obtained the resale license.
So, anyone
who downloads my Best Free Ebook, can download
the 64 ebooks, brand them, and re-distribute them to
his/her lists - thus making a profit by the sales generated
by his/her affiliate links.
The BFE
is the best freebie you can distribute to your
subscribers.
I have uploaded
all the ebooks to my servers. So you need
to upload nothing, but you can distribute all the ebooks to
your customers too - instantly. Still, the distribution of
the free ebooks costs you nothing since they are being
distributed through my servers and you don't have to pay
for the bandwidth needed to distribute some GigaBytes of
data for each of your readers. I have also collected the
best products and services and included them in the BFE.
So when you brand these links with your information, you
can make money from all sales generated through your links.
Now concentrate...
Suppose
Maria gets the free version of the BFE and
distributes it to 100 people. Also, suppose those 100
people distribute the ebook to 10 people each. Doesn't
that make a sum of
[Maria+100+(100x10=)1000] = 1101?
All 1101
readers of the BFE have to visit my server for
downloading the ebooks.
Does that mean anything to you?
Read it again:
When You
and/or the people to whom you distributed the BFE
and the readers of the people who obtained the BFE from
you, want to download an ebook - ANY ebook listed in the
BFE, ALL of those people must come to MY server and get
the ebooks.
Now, ask me:
What happens when ALL these readers come to my server?
Here is the system:
- They see
a form.
- They must fill in the form in order to download the ebook
they want.
- They see my ads on that page too.
- They fill in the form for the specific ebook they
requested and then they see my "Thank You" page.
- They also see my ads - the ads I placed inside that Thank
You page.
- And then they receive my email message. Inside that email
message, they read where they can download the ebook they
requested and
- They also read the ads I have inserted into that email
message.
This is
how I distribute the first 43 ebooks in my
collection.
So when
the same reader chooses to download another ebook,
s/he must come to my site again, fill another form, see
another set of ads, read the Thank You page with another
set of ads, read another message distributed by my
autoresponder, and read my ads in that email message too.
I use another
way to distribute the rest of the ebooks in
my collection (no. 44 to no. 64):
- The reader
chooses an ebook inside the BFE, s/he clicks
the link and comes to my site.
- I have installed a downloader, a cgi script that uses an
html template. Every time a reader requests an ebook, s/he
comes to my site and sees that html template. The
downloader (script) automatically places the title of the
ebook requested by the reader on that page and starts the
download.
The trick
here is that, in that html template, I have
included links to my other products too.
So, while
the reader waits to download the ebook s/he
requested, s/he also sees my products and that's how I am
getting extra sales.
So, I distribute
the free ebooks from no. 1 to no. 43 by
using separate autoresponders through my server. That
means I created 43 autoresponders and 43 html pages - one
pair for each ebook.
Then I added
a message to each of the autoresponders that
includes the URL the user needs to download the ebook.
When the
user fills the form requesting an ebook, an
automatic message is sent with the link s/he needs to
download the ebook s/he chose.
My autoresponder
allows me to define the URL of the webpage
upon successful subscription/registration/whatever.
Here is what I did to that page:
I created
a page ending in .shtml.
That means I can use SSI commands on that page.
Let's name that page the "Thank You" page.
There is 1 Thank You page for ALL 43 ebooks.
Then I installed a cgi script on my server through which I
can display a random ad wherever I add one line of code to
a webpage. Then I added that line of code to my "Thank You"
page.
Whenever
someone fills in a form, on any of the 43 webpages
with the forms I created for the 43 ebooks, s/he eventually
lands at the same "Thank You" page and sees the ads
randomly displayed by the script. By the way, that's a free
script I used for this purpose.
If the reader
comes to that "Thank You" page again through
ANOTHER of the 43 forms, s/he will see a DIFFERENT ad
randomly displayed by my script.
See this system in action...
http://peripet.com/cgi-bin/t/t.cgi?020,
to see
an example of an ebook delivered through an autoresponder
form. Notice the ad near the bottom of that page. Then
RELOAD that page (hit F5) and see the new ad displayed
Then fill
in the form.
If you don't want to fill in that
form for downloading the ebook, click here,
http://software4profit.com/best-free-ebook/tmpl-arp3success.shtml.
to visit
the "Thank You" page I use. My autoresponder will
automatically send you a message with the URL you need to
download this free ebook (A Millionaires Secret by Allen
Says).
Did you notice the ad in that "Thank You" page??
Can you
see the ads at the top and bottom of that page?
RELOAD that page (hit F5 again.)
Can you see the new ads?
So what happens is this:
Every time
a reader requests a free
ebook s/he must:
- Visit
a web page on my server, thus bringing traffic to
my server.
1. Fill the form for that specific ebook, thus giving
his/her email address to me.
2. Read the ads below the form, thus giving me a commission
if s/he clicks the ad and orders the product or service I
recommend.
3. Read the new ads on my "Thank You" page, thus giving me
a commission if s/he clicks the ads and orders any product
or service I recommend.
4. Read the ads in my email message along with the URL s/he
needs to download the free book s/he requested, thus giving
me a commission if s/he clicks any of the ads inside my
message and orders any product or service I recommend.
As you can
see, for EACH ebook, I have 4 chances to either
profit through an affiliate link or, in general, to
promote my products, my affiliate links, or ANY product or
service I want. The tricky thing is that I can add as many
ads as I want in a text file and all the ads will be
randomly displayed one by one through the .shtml pages
(seen in steps 1-4 above; this is possible because of the
cgi script.) The new ads will be displayed to ANYONE who
downloads any ebook from no.1 to no. 43.
Even if
the SAME subscriber fills the same form twice or
34,100 times, s/he will read a DIFFERENT set of ads!
I can tell
you how you can do this too. All you need is an
autoresponder script installed on your server, like
Autoresponse Plus http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=44
or any remote autoresponder that allows you to create multiple
autorespondering lists, like Aweber,
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=92,
or GetResponse
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=83,
Plus, your server must be able to run SSI (Server Side
Includes) commands - nearly 99% of all servers offer this
feature.
As I mentioned
above, this is how I distribute the ebooks
from no. 1 to no. 43.
I am going
to reveal to you the second marketing tactic I
use for distributing the ebooks from no. 44 to no. 64.
I installed
another (free) script on my server.
This script allowed me to correspond the actual downloading
links (URLs) to the unique IDs. This way, I can add the
links through a web panel and each ebook will get a unique
ID.
Here is
how it will look:
http://yourserver.com/download/download.cgi?id=5
The ID=5
corresponds to the real URL of the ebook, which
could reside on any other server, for example, at
http://server.com/ebook.zip (that's
a fictional URL.)
Let's see an example:
Click the
link here,
http://software4profit.com/best-free-ebook/download/download.cgi?id=0,
to request
the download link of the ebook, "James Allen's
'As A Man Thinketh' by Rebecca Fine," and notice my ad near
the bottom of that page.
So, all free ebooks from no. 44 to 64 have a unique ID
(URL) in a downloader-script I am using. The script uses a
template, a web page which is called up each time an ebook
is requested for downloading - similar to the "Thank You"
page of my autoresponder in the previous method I mentioned
above.
What I did
was to create the template in such a way so I
could advertise my other products. I could include any
product or service, but I wanted to promote my products -
it's logical, right?
As you can
see, getting orders for the BFE is just ONE of
my income streams. This is how a FREE ebook can generate an
income for you: by scientifically directing the readers to
any ad you want through which a sale can be generated.
The most
valuable and powerful profit stream, and thus,
asset, of the Best Free Ebook is the set of ADS displayed to
all of the readers (your readers AND your visitors'
readers) when the download of a free ebook is requested.
Now ask me:
"John, how
much time do you spend each day for maintaining
& promoting all these pages for the Best Free Ebook?"
Thanks for
asking...
The answer is...
...ZERO.
Yep... That's 0...
Once I created
and set up my system by using the 2
marketing tactics I described above, everything is being
done automatically:
The readers
of the Best Free Ebook select a free ebook to
download, visit my site, and:
- If the
ebook is one of the first 43 ebooks, they see the
ads below that form and then the new ads on my "Thank You"
page. They also receive an email from my autoresponder
with instructions on how to download the ebook they
requested.
- Or if
the ebook is one of the last 21 ebooks (no. 44 to
no. 64,) they see the template page I have created with all
my products listed on it.
Have you
seen any other traffic system MORE powerful than
this??
Even if
I do NOTHING to promote the BFE in the future, this
non-stop promotion system will be sending subscribers to my
autoresponders for all the years coming...
Now think...
Suppose the BFE was yours...
Suppose you were able to edit its SOURCE FILE.
You'd still
get the benefits of using your links for
distributing the ebooks through your autoresponders while
the ebooks would be delivered through my servers - this
way, you'd not have to worry about the bandwidth and the
cost associated with this.
Here is
what would happen when a reader requested an ebook
through your BFE and clicked the link to download that
ebook:
- S/he'd
come to your server.
- S/he'd fill your form and would read your ads on that
page.
- S/he'd read your Thank You page after filling in the form
and also read your ads on that page.
- S/he'd get your email with the link to download the
ebook, thus reading the ads inside that email message you
created.
The affiliate
links inside the BFE are another income
stream. As I described to you above, I have included some
exceptional products and services inside the BFE - apart
from the listings of the 64 free books.
Inside the
categories of the free ebooks, I have included
ads for products related to these categories.
And in special
sections after all the free ebooks are
listed, I included listings of products and services the
reader can browse and click.
By branding
the BFE, you're able to insert your affiliate
links for up to 81 products and services. That means, you
can get commissions per sale or per month according to the
payment scheme each product gives.
However,
when a new version of the BFE is released, you
have to insert ALL of your affiliate links from the
beginning.
If the SOURCE
FILE of the BFE was yours, you'd be able to
add YOUR DEFAULT affiliate links. What does 'DEFAULT'
mean?
In each
affiliate link, you can add a DEFAULT value, so if
your customers don't brand an affiliate link with their
IDs, then YOUR DEFAULT IDs and links will automatically be
inserted. This way, your customers become your salespeople
too!
What this
means:
- Your readers will click YOUR affiliate links and you'll
get commissions for all sales generated by your links.
- When someone orders the BFE from you and does not have
the time to brand ALL the affiliate links, then YOUR
DEFAULT affiliate links will automatically be included.
- When a new version of the Best Free Ebook is released,
you would NOT have to RE-BRAND ALL your affiliate links.
Instead, you'd open the source file of the BFE and you'd
include YOUR new DEFAULT affiliate links ONLY for the new
products/services added.
As you can
see, the BFE is not just another PDF file.
It creates an income for me and if you create an ebook the
way I described above, you'll create an income for yourself
too.
Happy viral
ebook marketing!
