Bill Gates did not invent the "windows" style.
Everybody knows that Apple(R) had introduced their
'Windows-like' operational system for MACs some
YEARS before Bill introduced "Windows(R)"
So, what Bill did was to get a successful operational
system, add his *unique spin* on it and create a
fresh, new and *profitable* product: Windows(R)
For the history, Bill's *unique spin* was the adaptation
of his MSDOS system to the "IBM compatible" computers,
aka PCs. Also for the history, Bill and his small
Microsoft(R) back in 1983 was the first (or one of the first)
companies that BELIEVED to the power of the SOFTWARE
while others invested to HARDWARE trying to create
THEIR better & best "computer".
Do you remember Spectrum? Or Commodore? Or Amiga?
Or BBC's "Acorn Electron"? Or Amstrad 6128?
All the above companies failed because they tried to
INVENT new computers while IBM company had the
largest stake in market. All those companies consumed
their good money trying to compete with their competitors
by creating a better hardware, a different hardware,
instead of adopting a well known existing solution
(IBM computers) and thus creating "something" that should
make the other companies to adopt their invention;
aka SOFTWARE.
Spectrum was the first personal computer.
The idea of having a computer that could be connected to
your TV, playing games with it, was amazing that time.
Commodore and BBC also created such "computers".
Amiga was a superb computer for gamers. Incredible
graphics, many games to play. But still no screen.
But when (Sir) Allan Sugar (the Co. of Amstrad) - who
is still well known for his inventions - created Amstrad
6128, Spectrum, Commodore, Amiga and all other
"computers" left aside. Amstrad 6128 was the FIRST
PERSONAL computer WITH a hard disk AND a Screen!)
Mr. Sugar tried to hold his position in the market by
creating new versions of his Amstrad computers but
it was too late for him and for all other manufacturers.
It was too late, because Bill Gates did not create a
computer but rather he created MSDOS. Bill did NOT
invent HIS computer. He knew that was a dead end.
So, what did he do?
He approached IBM - a well known and established
manufacturer, and suggested them to adOPT his
operational system (MSDOS) for their computers.
That was it... Bill did not have to invent a computer.
And actually MSDOS was NOT the only OS that
could make a success; DRDOS existed and died,
and also some other operational systems existed
and also died. Can you now understand why?
Because it's good to create an invention, but
you need customers for your invention to live and last.
So basically what Bill did was to get customers through
IBM and offered them a unique spin: first a common
platform to use (MSDOS) and then PROGRAMS
and applications, that is: Software.
I am not saying I am like Bill Gates:)
But I always think of him and of others pioneers too,
and try to find what was the critical element that
made them successful.
Since I cannot write software and persuade "some IBM
company" to use it for mutual profit, :) I am observing
people that made a success I CAN REPLICATE, and then add
my *unique spin* in order to create something fresh, new
and profitable.

Do you remember my last article?
I told you that you must THINK BIG, see the FOREST and
not the Tree only.

I told to myself: "If this ebook will make me known then

was that it did not have time to write an ebook, or you'd say
I could NOT write an ebook, so finding the best articles on
the ebook's subject was the best means for me. I also decided
to use each one of the ebooks to promote a product and get
either orders for my products or commissions for other products.
So, the "7 Viral Marketing Articles" promotes "TurboReferer"
The 2nd ebook in this series, the "7 Power Linking Articles"
promotes Armand Morin's "Link Generator" software and also
the Joe Clayton's "Free Software For Ever" membership site.
I still receive commissions through that ebook. The 3rd
ebook of this series "7 Ebook Marketing Articles" promotes
my "Best Free Ebook". And the last one "Web Law Buttons"
promotes "AutoWebLaw Pro" and also my products.

That's the SECRET behind FREE ebooks and this is how the
Viral Marketing works:
You create a new ebook.
Your readers can brand the ebook with their information.
You include either links to your products or your affiliate
links to products that are related to the subject you're dealing

to your products too.
You submit the ebook to directories, offer it as a bonus to
your subscribers or to people for becoming subscribers to
your newsletter, etc.
The ebooks I have created are in my mind like SATELLITES

My *unique spin* has to do with the IDEA of the creation
of such an ebook (that NOW seems Simple to you, right?),
the creation of the PDF file and the membership site
and of the Pass-Card too, the well designed website with
the professional graphics, etc.
