Money Is In The List - For Affiliates Too
Written by: John Delavera
Answer this
question:
Why do you become an affiliate for a product or service?
Correct answer: For the money.
Now answer
this question:
Where is the money on the Net?
Correct answer: In the list.
Now combine both answers:
List=money
And variations:
Small List = Not enough money
Big List = Big money
Huge List = Huge money
Your lesson:
if you know how to make your list larger, you
know how to make money online.
I just taught
you the CORE of the science called 'Internet
Marketing' - I am sure you know what I am saying. I am NOT
sure if you apply what you know into practice.
Let's see...
I'll take
the site software4profit.com as an example.
If you visit the site, you'll see that many products are
offered there. If you become an affiliate, you can promote
all those products with 1 affiliate link and earn 50% for
each sale generated by your affiliate link.
Let's imagine
that you are a successful affiliate for this
site. Let's say that you send 10,000 people to that site
each month,100 of them buy a product, and you earn around
$5,000 each and every month.
Calculate
your profits for the next 12 months:
12 x $5,000 = $60,000
Now, calculate YOUR customers.
Are you there?
I asked you to calculate YOUR CUSTOMERS.
12x100=1,200
customers - I hear you saying...
WRONG answer.
Software4Profit.com
got 1,200 customers THROUGH your
affiliate link and your sales. But those customers are not
YOURS.
YOU have
ZERO customers.
Even if you manage to send 10,000 people to an affiliated
site and earn up to $5,000 each month from affiliate sales,
IF you act like an amateur, in the end, you will have 0
customers.
Listen...
money is good, but remember the most basic lesson
of Internet Marketing: money is in the List. Again, I am
sure you know it, but I am NOT sure if you apply what you
know into practice...
No matter
what you sell on the Net, either as a merchant
(your product) or as an affiliate (other merchants'
products and services), this is what you MUST have in mind:
CREATE YOUR LIST/S.
The Gold
list is your list of customers.
The Silver list is your list of subscribers.
The Bronze list is the list of your affiliates.
So, either
as a merchant or as an affiliate, your main task
on the Net is to make your list BIG.
Are you
doing what I am suggesting here?
Probably not.
Few people
do it.
Do you know why?
People are in a hurry.
People want success and they want it today.
I'll tell
you what to do. If you follow what I reveal to you here, and
do not cheat me or yourself, then you'll become a good
seller.
Enough said... Here is the secret:
Do not send
traffic to the merchant's webpage.
Send the traffic to your subscription form and then
RE-DIRECT visitors to the merchant's webpage.
I know,
I know; this secret is so powerful that I'd have
been better off not giving it for free, since the general
belief is that free information is not valued as much as
paid information. Well, that does not happen here in this
newsletter.
In case you didn't understand what I revealed to you:
Suppose
that you want to promote software4profit.com.
Normally, you'd get your affiliate link, and then you would
send people to that URL. So, if your Clickbank nickname was
1nternet, then your affiliate link for that site would be
http://hop.clickbank.net/?1nternet/delavera.
What you MUST NOT DO is send people to that affiliate URL.
What you MUST DO is send people to a page ON YOUR SITE.
Let's go deeper...
Suppose
that Site S sells used cars and software4profit.com
sells the Best Free Ebook and the Best Seller Ebook.
If your
readers want to buy a used car, they will surely
visit Site S through your affiliate link.
Similarly,
if your readers want to buy access to the
collection with master resale rights, they will order their
membership to the Best Seller Ebook through your affiliate
link.
That way,
you send people to Site S and to
software4profit.com, Site S and software4profit.com get
customers, you get money.
I am going to change this.
I take it
as a given that when you suggest a site to your
readers, you want to say something to them.
For example,
if you suggest Site S that promotes Cars,
you'd say: Click here to visit the site with the best
prices on used cars. Correct?
And you'd include your affiliate link as a hyperlink in the
words 'Click here.'
Accordingly,
when you suggest software4profit.com to your
readers, you'd want to say something like this:
'I'd like
to suggest 2 valuable resources - among others
you'll find when you visit the suggested site below: the
Best Free Ebook, which is the Ultimate Collection of Free
ebooks you can also customize with your information, and
the Best Seller Ebook, which is the Ultimate Collection of
Products with Master Resale Rights. Click here to visit
this site and select the products to read more about them.'
Again, you'd
include your affiliate link as a hyperlink in
the words 'Click here.'
Now...
What you
have to do is create 1 page for each site you
promote, create 1 autoresponder for each product you
promote, and then include information about this site and
the subscription form on your page. When your visitor fills
in the form, s/he must be re-directed either to a thank you
page with your affiliate link to the site you're promoting,
OR directly to the site you're promoting through your
affiliate link.
Examples:
Create an
autoresponder, say 'siteS' autoresponder, and set
up the thank you page to direct subscribers to your
affiliate link for the Site S.
Then create
a page, a simple html page, WRITE what you want
to say to your visitors about Site S, and include the
subscription form of the autoresponder you have just
created.
Save the
page as aff-siteS.html and upload it onto your
server.
Do the same
for promoting software4profit.com.
Create an autoresponder, say 's4p' autoresponder, and set
up the thank you page to direct subscribers to your
affiliate link for the site software4profit.com.
Then create a page, a simple html page, WRITE what you want
to say to your visitors about software4profit.com, and include the
subscription form of the 's4p' autoresponder.
Save the page as aff-s4p.html and upload it onto your
server.
Now, suppose your domain is this: http://yourserver.com
Next time
you want to promote software4profit.com,
instead of sending people to
http://hop.clickbank.net/?1nternet/delavera,
you'll send them to
http://yourserver.com/aff-s4p.html.
This way,
you'll start building your lists. This way you'll
start making money on the Net.
Can you
understand how critical this information is that I
am revealing to you?
Yes, I know
it's a burden to create so many autoresponders.
But making money on the Net is not an easy task.
You have to become a professional.
I am just describing 'how' to you.
There is
another crucial reason why you'd create a separate
html file for each affiliate program you promote: search
engines LOVE rich-content-pages and also love cross-links.
By creating a network of 100s of pages for promoting your
affiliate links, you're also improving the ranking of your
site in the search engines. For more information about
search engines, download Search Engine Primer by Chuck
McCullough here:

You can also download 'Affiliate Mistakes' by the same
author here:
http://affiliatescenter.com/affiliatemistakes.exe
You can
also use the 'Affiliate Pagemaker' by Noor Overseas
to easily create your index.html pages with a
search-engine-friendly code and your encoded affiliate
links. This software is included in the Best Seller Ebook
collection. If you are not a member of the
Best-Seller-Ebook, you can become one here:
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=104
The next crucial piece of information is this:
If you promote,
say 10 products as an affiliate, you'll end
up having 10 lists with some 100s or 1000s of subscribers
on each list EVEN if NONE of them bought anything from the
sites you're promoting.
How you
can create DIFFERENT lists:
- One list of ALL the people who VISITED your affiliate
site.
- One list of ALL the people who actually BOUGHT a product
through your affiliate link.
- And one list of ALL the people who have BOUGHT MORE THAN
1 product through your affiliate links.
Stay tuned.
