Making Money On The Net Is A Matter Of Knowledge
by: John Delavera
I remember
the first day I connected to the Internet. It
was back in 1994. When connected, I remember myself
saying... 'What now?' You see... nothing happened... I
don't remember *what* I was expecting to happen, but I
had the belief, when 'passing' the border between reality
and virtual reality, *something* would happen.
I have the
same feeling (this expectation of something
'should come now', the belief that after Action X something
Y *must* happen) whenever I buy something online.
BTW, I am
a good buyer. I buy almost anything that can add
one more chapter to the Internet Marketing 'book' that is
inside my brain. I buy books, ebooks, software,
memberships, etc.
I can first
*scan* a book with my eyes and then read it.
The good book is the one that passes the scanning stage. If
the scanning satisfies my brain, I proceed and read the
book. If not, I leave it for a while and start reading it
when I cannot connect to the Internet...
The same
happens with ebooks. Whenever I feel that THIS
ebook can give me some additional 'bytes of knowledge,'
I buy it. And when I finish reading it, I either start
applying what I have read online or say... 'What now?' –
Again, the same feeling: *something* that had to happen
just did not happen.
Do you understand me? I hope so.
Why I am
writing all these psychological things to you? Why
should you care?
Dear reader...
Everything
that deals with Internet Marketing deals with
*exactly* the same feeling I am trying to describe to you.
Everything
in Internet Marketing deals with the
*knowledge* and experiences of the writer/creator, which
may or may not give *something* to you.
You would
not bother with this trivial conclusion if the
Internet did not exist. But today we live in the Global
Information Society and the information offered by the Net
makes our brains hit the red sometimes - like the 'TILT'
when playing pinball.
In order
to survive from this *information attack*
(sometimes called 'overloading') you must be able to:
a. Scan
the information and judge its value quickly, and
b. Carefully select the information you BUY.
Otherwise,
if you buy the wrong informational product,
you'll be in the 'What now?' phase. This is not good for
the money and time you spent.
Are you
still with me? Good. Because I am going to reveal a
secret to you that will help you to decide in 1 minute if
the ebook you bought was a trustworthy purchase or not.
The secret
is this – and you can apply it to any 'written'
source (an article, a web page, a book, an ebook, etc.)
Before spending
your time reading the source, start
*scanning* it for 5 minutes from the upper left side of the
page to the lower right side (diagonally) without trying to
actually *read* the words - just *scan* the pages with your
eyes.
If after the scanning you find that:
a. The chapters
of the ebook are bigger than pages
per chapter.
b. Inside the chapters, you managed to *scan* 'examples,'
or even 'screen-shots.'
c. There are 'links' inside the chapters, either before or
after the examples.
Then you
can start reading the ebook and be happy with your
purchase. You'll get a *piece of knowledge* that will satisfy
you. The more pieces of knowledge you get, the more
satisfied you'll feel about your purchases.
As you can
understand, the 'links' and the 'examples'
inside the chapters prove that the writer knows his subject
and tries to prove this to you with resources.
But what
makes the ebook better are the pieces of knowledge
you read that *you didn't know* before. I call them
'precious bytes of information.'
And now we're getting closer to the subject of this article.
'Making Money On The Net Is A Matter Of Knowledge.'
The more
'precious bytes of information' you gather, the
more possibilities you have to win the game of Internet
Marketing.
The majority
of the ebooks and the 'information for sale'
that exist on the Net today is a 'repetition' of the same
knowledge.
And here are the origins of this fault:
One day,
'A' managed to make some money online. He wrote
an ebook and explained how he did it. Call it 'the first
source.' Some hundreds of surfers bought 'the first source'
and applied the same techniques. When they made some
money, they decided to write their ebooks. The result was
that some hundreds of new ebooks,
'kids-of-the-first-source,' appeared on the Net.
And the
story continues... Another day, B found out that
too many applied the techniques described inside 'the
first source' ebook. So B tried some different techniques
in order to make his product or service stand apart from
the 'crowd.' And he did it. B wrote an ebook - call it 'the
second source'- and tried to explain the knowledge and
experience that led him to success. Again... Some hundreds
of surfers bought 'the second source' and tried the same
techniques. When they made some money, they decided to
write their ebooks. The result was that some hundreds of
new ebooks, 'kids-of-the-second-source,' appeared on the
Net.
Are you
getting the point? YOU have to search the Net to
find the SOURCES of the information, and if you find them,
then BUY THEM. Do not spend your money buying the 'kids'
of the sources. Search for the pure 'virgin' knowledge and
buy it. Search for the 'precious bytes of information.'
And also be quick to apply the new tactics online. Then
search for the next 'source' and buy it. Again, be quick
and apply the new tactics online.
The people
that first apply what the
'first-knowledge-holders' teach them win on the Net. That's
why...
'Making Money On The Net Is A Matter Of Knowledge.'
I know that
I risk boring you with this article, but I want
you to completely understand what I am struggling to say...
So, I continue...
Do you want
some examples of what I am saying so that you
can distinguish some 'first-source' creators and 'precious
bytes of information'?
In any case,
here are some examples:
Example 1: Corey Rudl
-----------------------------
The creator
of the Internet Marketing Center. Don't say, 'I
know him.' You know him NOW. Back in 1997, HE was *the*
Master - he still is. He was one of the 'first sources' on the Net.
His course sold millions of copies. It is not a 'downloadable'
product. It's a package that contains many goodies inside.
Now, Corey is a millionaire and his course (knowledge,
experiences, tactics; in other words: 'precious bytes of
information') made many other millionaires too. His course
has been updated and can be found at:
http://turboreferer.com/r/imc
BTW, Corey created a new site: 'Secrets To Their Success,'
where real people share their stories on how they made a
fortune on the Net. Check it:

Example 2: Allen Says
----------------------------
The creator of the Internet Marketing Warriors. Allen
created the 1st marketing *online community.* Actually,
Allen has admitted that he didn't have the slightest idea
of the success his site would have. The Warriors' site is
different now - much better, because it has had to stand
the antagonism too - so, additional products and services
have been added. You can visit Allen's site at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=94
Allen is
also the creator of many other products and
services, like:
The excellent
web hosting service: Host4Profit (now included in the
Warriors' membership), 'The Money Browser' at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=11
and of the
best seller: How to Become a Global Internet Tycoon:
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=22
Example 3: Ken Evoy
--------------------------
The creator of the 'Make Your Site Sell' ebook and of the
'5 Pillar Affiliates.' Ken's ebook (MYSS!) was the 1st
ebook in PDF format and the CHEAPEST of its kind. When Ken
created MYSS!, people started thinking, 'Why should I buy
Corey's course?' It costs $197 while Ken's ebook costs
less than $30 and holds the same information. Corey met
his first antagonist at that time - others came later.
Also, Ken's
affiliate program was one of the first that
offered Two-Tier commissions. It's still one of the best
because it offers TOO many marketing materials for ALL the
products Ken additionally produced (MYKS, MYPS, SBI, etc.)
You can find Ken's site here:
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=3
Example 4: Yanik Silver
-----------------------------
Yanik was 'Allen's student'; that is, a Warrior. Yanik
created the 'Autoresponder Magic' ebook. It was a success
and it is really a good 'first-source.'
What did
Yanik do? It was not actually the ebook that made
him known. Yanik first contributed to the Net the idea of
'Master Resell Rights' in conjunction with the very low
price of his product. His ebook is a treasure indeed. Most
people have bought it because of its master resell rights,
but never read it, nor *applied* it - too bad...
But Yanik did not stop there. He created another 'first-source'
product: The 'Instant Sales Letters' ebook. You can read
more about it at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=122
Yanik is a good RESEARCHER. And that's why his products are
always 'first-source' products. He does not mimic. He
creates. He does not visit discovered planets. He is
searching for new planets - and finds them.
Another
good product of Yanik's is 33 Days to Online Profits

Example 5: Terry Dean
----------------------------
Terry created the first 'couching-site': NetBreakThroughs.
He is always there to answer your questions - even the
silly ones. Just put his name in the title of your question
('Terry could you please...') and he will answer. In most
cases, his answer is correct and precise. Additionally, he is
always testing MANY ways to advertise online and he keeps a
Diary for this purpose. He tracks and writes down all the
results, so you know from the beginning what kind of
advertising sources you can use and what to expect from
them.
Here is
a personal experience: when I joined
NetBreakThroughs, I was looking for ways to instantly make
some of my sites 'well-known.' I knew all about search
engines (doorway pages, keywords, METAs, etc), FFA pages,
link trading, posting to message boards and to Usenet,
blah...blah...blah. However, I do appreciate the
'fast-food-knowledge' because I believe a wise person is
the one who 'steals' the knowledge of other wise people.
So, after having visited Terry's site some hundreds of
times, one day, I decided to pay for my membership. In 24
hours, I discovered that I knew NOTHING about online
advertising. I was applying 'second-source' tactics. This
way, Terry saves me money each day of every single month I
pay him to allow me to visit his site; go visit his site now at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=95
Example 6: Tom Hua
--------------------------
Tom created the first 'too-many-ebooks-in-1' ebook Product,
'The Free To Sell' Package.
He applied
Yanik's philosophy and gave Master Resell Rights
to his buyers too. His FreeToSell package is a best seller,
which every marketer will always remember. Tom also created
the EbookWholeSaler site where you can get new ebooks to
resell every month.
You can
find the EbookWholeSaler site at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=97
Example
7: Jimmy Brown
----------------------------------
I believe that Jimmy mixed the knowledge of Terry Dean,
Yanik Silver, and Tom Hua (although I am not sure if Tom
Moved first), because
a. He created
a membership site (Terry)
b. He created ebooks with Master Resell Rights (Yanik), and
c. He offered a new ebook each month to his subscribers
(while Tom offers more than one ebook each month to his
EbookWholeSaler subscribers, he does so without Master
Resell Rights.)
Additionally,
Jimmy is a very good writer and almost all of
his products are outstanding - worth the money you spend
every month.
Also, what
makes Jimmy a 'first-source' is that he applied
a *unique* payment system for his affiliates. The access
to his site costs LESS than the product he creates and sells
each and every month, so it's better to become his member,
get the product and also be paid as an affiliate (his buyers
pay the affiliate of Jimmy first and THEN Jimmy).
Jimmy is
a good 'first-source' to study - he applies NEW
marketing methods (while Yanik creates unique marketing
products - are you getting my points, now?) And of course,
that's why Jimmy created an 'army' of affiliates:-)
Jimmy's
new site, Nicheology.com, can be found at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=118
Last Example
8: Phil Wiley
--------------------------------
Listen to this: Phil lives at the top of a **mountain** in
Australia! Can you believe it? It's true! Of course, I have
never visited him, but I take it that he is not lying - he has
no motive for that. In one of Phil's newsletters, I read that
one day, a *cloud* (yes, a cloud!) entered the room Phil
was sitting in and he was able to *touch* it. Isn't that
cool?
Back to
the subject. Phil is the 'first-source' for people
that want to make money as affiliates. In particular, Phil
wrote an ebook that explains EVERYTHING about how to
make money by using the tactic of 'mini-sites creation.'
From my personal experience, I am telling you that this
tactic pays. What Phil did was 'research' his subject
and present the information in an ebook that says it all.
As I have
already mentioned, run for the *pure virgin
knowledge*... Phil's ebook is a gem. You can find it at
http://url4profit.com/to.cgi?id=admin&pid=54
I advise you to print out this article and re-read it. Then
mimic what all these people did. Learn from them. If
you apply the tactics these pioneers followed, you'll
make some money because
'Making Money On The Net Is A Matter Of Knowledge.'
But when
you find YOUR path in Internet Marketing and
are able to suggest a 'first-source' knowledge... then,
and only then, will you win the game of Internet Marketing
and make a living of it.
Take care and Happy Marketing!
