Is the King an Idiot?
by John Delavera
Hello TurboZiners! Today I'll tell you about
autoresponders and shall prove to you that the King is not
an idiot. King knows and King is wiser than you think he
is. By the time you realize it, the King will be richer
and wiser - and will always be the King…
I do not have one King in my mind but many of them.
They all are Kings of Internet Marketing
- since Internet Marketing and in particular "Viral
Internet Marketing" is MY favorite subject - or a way of
life, you could say. Some thousands of US Dollars and some
tens of thousands of hours of surfing on the Net proved to
me that the King is not an idiot.
You now know the answer. But what was the question?
The question was:
While there are so many autoresponder
scripts available on the Net, why does the King prefer a
remote autoresponder system? Since the King can get
the script running on his server, why does he prefer
Aweber (http://turboreferer.com/r/aweber)
or
GetResponse (http://turboreferer.com/r/getresponse)?
One could say that money is not a matter for the King.
He can spend a few dollars per month instead of paying a
one-time fee to buy the script. Perhaps the King wants to
spend more money than everybody else does…
Not a likely answer…
One could say that the King does not want to deal with
Perl scripts, installing the scripts on his server, etc...
But, everyone who has installed Autoresponse Plus
(http://turboreferer.com/r/arp3)
knows that installation is
over in a few seconds - even a child can do it. So is the
King an idiot?
Why does the King prefer third-party autoresponders to
maintain his mailing list? Why doesn't he prefer to have
his database on his server? Really, is the King an idiot?
As I told you already, the answer is No.
I only realized it today and two incidents made me change
my mind for the King. King knows - I didn't, until today.
The first incident deals with Ian Herculson. Ian is the
owner of the Guru Marketer Newsletter
(TheGuruMarketer.com)
Ian lost the database of his mailing list of over 18,000
subscribers after a server crash. Although he has stated
that it was a mistake and he bears no ill feelings towards
his web hosting company, if the same thing happened to
me, I would really feel depressed for the next year!
Lesson No.1
=============
King prefers Aweber (http://turboreferer.com/r/aweber)
or
GetResponse (http://turboreferer.com/r/getresponse)
because HE knows that his database is SAFE! There is not
enough space here to analyze it better, but you do
understand that both of these remote autoresponder
systems TRIPLE- back up their data.
Thus, the King can sleep tight.
The second incident deals with the Best Free Ebook at
http://best-free-ebook.com.
Today I completed the
Reseller's Package for this product and wanted to
announce it to my mailing lists, which has thousands of
names and email addresses.
I do use Autoresponse Plus
(http://turboreferer.com/r/arp3)
and I am happy with it
because you can do MAGICAL things. However, after I
send a message to my thousands of subscribers, I have to
delete some hundreds of email messages I get in return
due to "Mail Delivery Failure" problems.
I do know that my subscribers have given me the right
email addresses. However, I can understand that *some*
of them could have changed their addresses. Some of them
use a Hotmail or a Yahoo! email account and they
exceeded their quota. But these factors do not justify the
hundreds of "undeliverable" messages. Then I got it!
Have you seen words like "fr'ee" and "cl*ick here"? Do
you think they are typos? Just errors, mistakes?
No!
The writer wants to pass the sp*a"m filters - Spam
Assassin in specific – and reach his audience. That's the
explanation and the King knows the safe way of sending
his messages to his audience.
You see, even with these symbols *, and "", _&^
through those words, Spam Assassin is getting better and
can distinguish the "content" of the messages - and kill
them.
King knows it. He knows that Aweber has a system to
count the "spam-ability" of the messages King wants to
send. If Aweber says "3.0 points," the King changes the
words and tries again; "1.2" Aweber says. The King clicks
the "Send" button!
That's how the King lives a better life: He has more spare
time because He works smarter - not Harder. That's why
King is not an idiot. He has the money to spend for a
monthly service like Aweber
(http://turboreferer.com/r/aweber)
or GetResponse
(http://turboreferer.com/r/getresponse),
but this factor
does not justify everything.
The King saves his data and also saves time by NOT
having to delete all those hundreds of "Not Delivered"
email messages.
Lesson No.2
=============
King prefers Aweber (http://turboreferer.com/r/aweber)
or GetResponse (http://turboreferer.com/r/getresponse)
because HE knows that His audience will read His
messages. I don't. I am not even sure if this message
with all these forbidden words will pass your server's
filters. I hope your web host has not yet installed Spam
Assassin. Thus, the King can sleep tight. I cannot.
The King is not an idiot.
Am I?
The answer is NO:-) I am moving to Aweber too:-) Not
right now, but soon!
