Does your character meet these 4 elements of success?

by John Delavera

First of all: Be patient

You cannot make a living on the Net in some days, some
months, or even within a year or two.
You will be able to earn some good money in a year if you
follow the right steps, but you must work hard for at least
2-3 years before quitting your morning job. Work hard, make
the right moves, and you can enjoy the luxury of working
from home (I assure you it's a good feeling!)

Pay attention: you can earn money on the Net quickly; there
are ways to do this. For example, if you promote a product
that sells well, you can make $1000-$1500 within 2-4 weeks.
But what I'm saying is that you cannot create a stable
online business, a living on the Net, overnight. For
your information, Rosalind Gardner has written an ebook
where she explains in simple detail how she created a
fortune by ONLY promoting other people's products as an
affiliate. You can read more about it here:

There are also ways to save time; actually, to "win" time,
by getting the knowledge you need through other people's
brains. That's how the "protege" programs work. For
example: all people who get my "Internet Marketing Protege
PLUS+" service receive not only the products mentioned at
http://software4profit.com/protege, but also my personal
support. Clever people ask for help - remember this.

Second: Be focused

You cannot earn a living with a webpage that offers
everything...

Keep it simple. Offer 1 product at a time.
It can be a collection of homogenous products; that's OK.
It can be your product or a product you promote as an
affiliate. That's OK too. But it must be 1 product at a
time. There is much work to be done in selling just 1
product, believe me. So FOCUS on 1 product and sell it.

Third: Be pro-active

Run a newsletter, an ezine, or keep a simple mailing list.
The purpose of your website must be either a) to get the
sale or b) to get a subscriber. That's it. Period. Nothing
else. Research shows that people don't buy when visiting
your site the first time - unless your product is what they
were looking for. Even in that case, you still must set-up
a mechanism because, in case you don't get the order,
you'll still get a subscriber for your newsletter or
mailing list. That's why you need autoresponders and pop-up
windows. If your visitor doesn't order, the pop-up window
opens, your free offer is displayed, and your visitor fills
in a form. There are still tons of free ebooks and software
on the Net. Create a collection related to your subject and
offer it as a bonus to your subscribers upon registration.
Your autoresponder will get the message, add the visitor to
your subscriber list, and send your free bonuses
automatically. You can create a series of follow-up
messages to inform your new subscribers about your product,
leading to a sale, or you can run your newsletter and try
to get the sale through special offers, ads, or links
included inside your newsletter.

Fourth: Be responsible and consistent to your vision.

Listen... this newsletter did not start with 7000
subscribers... But I kept sending it even when the
subscribers were only 7, then 17, then 170, then 1700, and
so on.

Be responsible.
Today, I wasn't in the mood to write an article.
But I did it. You're reading it right now.
I had promised you that you'll receive my newsletter each
Saturday. I must keep this promise; be responsible. And be
consistent to your dreams. Do what you have to do with the
belief that you have ALREADY created an online business. In
fact, you HAVE DONE it. You're running a mailing list,
you're keeping in contact with your subscribers; 7, 17, or
700 - it doesn't matter. Keep on going. You must prove to
yourself and to others that you deserve to be trusted. You
must give REASONS to people to believe what you say. Be
responsible and consistent to your subscribers, to
yourself, and to your dream.

So, before asking yourself why am I not making a profit
online, be sure that your character meets all the elements
above. If not, work on it.

Are there any questions?

Email me and I'll publish the answers in the next Issue.
