A Four-Day "World Tour" of Top Online Talent -- With Just One Stop!

My head is still swimming even though it's been almost a week already since the World Internet Summit happened in Nashville. It was a very memorable event, and was the fourth such event I've been to in two years. Let me tell you up front, if you ever get a chance to attend a live Online Marketing Seminar, then by all means, do it!

You will never regret the opportunities to meet and spend time with top marketers, to network (and even JV with!) other like-minded marketers from all walks of life, and to immerse yourself in a sea of proven marketing knowledge and techniques. (Oh, and you might even have some fun and enjoy a good meal or two! :p)

The event kicked off with a 'double-header' pre-Seminar day on Thursday, Sept. 16th.

First, there was a fantastic Free Microsoft FrontPage Tutorial with Paul Colligan, who worked with Microsoft on FrontPage. Although I use Dreamweaver, I was very impressed by the ease and versatility that was evident from Paul's demonstrations.

This was later followed by the World-Famous Live Internet Challenge, featuring the event's three hosts, Ted Ciuba, Brett McFall and Tom Hua who, together with the audience of attendees, created a brand new product from scratch, put up a website for it, (a drawing for the site was the first thing on the agenda) and watched as an internet newbie from Brooklyn, New York made over $12,000 online in only 72 hours! This was Ted's fourth such challenge, and this one broke all previous records. We monitored the site's progress throughout the Summit.

Friday kicked off the main event with several superb presentations by top-flight marketers including: Ted Ciuba, Armand Morin, David Cavanaugh, Tom Hua and Jennie Armato- (the last three are from "down under"). Serving as a staff member for the event enabled me to get to know the speakers more, and also gave me opportunities to set up interviews them. The evening ended with an informative Speaker Panel Session.

Saturday was just as busy.; We heard from: Sean Roach, Mike Stewart, Brett McFall, Jo Han Mok, Carl Galletti, and David Cavanaugh. Between my responsibilities as a staff person, I was feverishly scribbling notes on each presentation. One of the features of the event was a JV table, where we could leave and exchange business cards and brochures.

Saturday night ended with a fun, crazy and memorable evening of Karaoke singing--you haven't lived until you've heard Armand Morin and Mike Stewart sing! We also discovered some great hidden talents among several attendees, and I even took a turn!

Sunday the 19th was the closing day of the Summit. With our brains full and overflowing, we heard some excellent words of wisdom from George Callens, and then got some great additional marketing "'brain food" from Paul Colligan, Kirt Christensen and Ted Ciuba.

That afternoon featured the live webcast (the product we created) which featured top tips for Virtually Guaranteed Online Success by each of the 12 speakers - along with comments about the event from several attendees, including - you guessed it! - your editor.

So now that I've had some time to reflect a little upon that tremendous experience, I'm sure you're just "dying" to find out what I learned there. Even though I'm still trying to process what I heard and learned during those four days, there are a few things I learned that I'd like to share with you briefly.

First of all, I learned that we must survey our market to create and determine the need for a product. We also learned: never create a product that won't sell; How to sell low and high-priced items online; Brett McFalls' BURPIES formula; "Suspect, Prospect, Customer, Raving Fan"; record everything you create verbally; "AutoPilotRiches"; fish for whales; and "take action; be a 'Do-ru', not a Guru."

I made several new friends and re-aquainted myself with some old ones. I also learned about access and how to network properly. Furthermore, the best marketing deals are those between friends, and, last but not least, Yes, it really is possible to make money online, while you sleep and with a proven system, honestly, legally and continuously!

And those are just a few brief highlights. If you're interested in a bit more detail, let me know and we'll see about creating an overview of some of these items.

In the mean time remember above all that you are responsible for learning how to "Create Your OWN Brand of Success," and then for taking action to make it happen!
